When I think of good
collaboration I think about the time when I did basic training. This is the
time when I learned that without collaboration the whole group will fail. On
our first week of basic training we were put into groups and given a task. Of
course none of us knew each other well enough to trust each other. The drill
sergeants just sat and watched us but did not say a word. It took us almost a
whole day to accomplish the task. We got it done once everyone started working
together and we realized that if we had collaborated together from the start we
would have accomplished the task a lot sooner. I actually go through the same
while I am in recruiting. I found out that if everyone in my office
collaborates by recruiting the numbers that we are asked we could finish the
mission before the end of the month and we can actually get the last week of
the month and relax a little before the start of next month’s mission.
